After leaving the motherland and settling in North America in his late teenage years, Shelton Mpala quickly realized something : the portrayal of Africa in the Western World was in no way, shape or form parallel to his reality. Hence, "Children of the Dark Continent" (COTDC) was born, a social media platform with a following of over 20k, that aims to portray Africa in its most authentic self in order to reshape people's perception and understanding of this beautiful continent.
